Plant Pennies

Your account. Your workspace.

Plant Pennies is a free, interactive website for exploring market and economic data. A free Google or email account is required to access the dashboard and indicator data.

What an account saves

Google Firebase handles Google sign-in and email/password authentication. Your email address and sign-in information are stored in Firebase Authentication. The website does not store your password in its own database.

Your named charts, chart settings, watchlist, and research checklist are saved in a private Firestore workspace tied to your account. Website access rules let each signed-in user read and change only their own workspace. The site operator can administer its Firebase services.

Storage on your device

The site uses browser storage to remember your sign-in session and cache your work. Each signed-in account uses a separate local cache. Older guest work, if present, stays separate. Your browser’s guest charts and watchlist are imported into an account only when you choose Import. Clearing browser data removes local caches.

Control your data

Open Your account to sign out, verify your email, or delete your account and its saved cloud workspace. Email accounts can request a password-reset link from the sign-in form. You may need to sign in again before deleting an account.

Data sources and timing

Economic observations come from FRED, BLS, BEA, and ECB data. Market series come from the market sources shown in the dashboard. Updates follow source release schedules; market observations may be delayed or end-of-day. Each indicator shows its observation date. A fresh website update does not mean a new observation was released for every series.
